Dredd 3D helmet build – part 3.1: A little clean up

The inside of the helmet was getting a little messy so I thought I’d attack it with my Dremel before I put the second layer of fibreglass in.

Last time I did this it was 35 to 40°C, so my working time was 5 to 10 minutes. the last week as barely gotten over 15°C with overnight temperatures of 3 to 4°C. It is taking the resin a dog’s age to cure.

I think the “Bondo” stage is going to be a lot easier to work with at those temperatures.

So much better looking than my last attempt looked at this stage.

I think I must be using a different resin. The colour is quite different.
